Contact Lens Production Automation

Our integrated automation modules for moulded soft contact lens production are designed for high-volume daily disposable production. From UV curing to demoulding, through to blister loading, sealing and serialisation, our systems are built to support continuous high-speed throughput with gentle handling and highly controlled transfer to prevent dehydration or damage.

That every product is the highest quality is critical. Our 100% inspection and automated reject management keeps the perfect product flowing into the market rapidly and consistently.

We understand the production realities of contact lens manufacturing: millions of units per day with demanding OEE targets and strict controls. Our automation platforms are engineered to deliver stable, repeatable, scalable performance. These principles are carried through to our secondary packaging lines, offering cartoning, case packing and palletising to ensure your lenses get from mould to lorry seamlessly.

Intraocular Lens (IOL) Manufacturing Automation

We provide commercial volume automation platforms for IOLs for both CNC-lathed and moulded processing. Designed for precision handling of high-value implantable ophthalmic lenses, our systems offer centration verification and full batch traceability, ensuring each IOL maintains optical surface integrity from production to packaging.

From blank milling to controlled casting, from wafer mould assembly and cracking to preloaded injector assembly and blister packaging, every movement is engineered to protect the integrity of premium IOL optics whilst optimising production yield.

Traceability Inspection & Process Transparency

In ophthalmic manufacturing, 100% traceability and inspection are essential to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and consistent optical performance. Our automation platforms integrate advanced vision-guided inspection and process verification at critical stages of production.

High-resolution machine vision systems detect defects and orientation errors, while precision verification tools confirm geometry, alignment, and packaging integrity. Each component or lens is tracked through the line using barcode, UDI, and electronic batch records, enabling full traceability through to the packaged product.

Real-time quality assurance systems ensure that only fully compliant products proceed through the process while providing manufacturers with the traceability, validation, and process transparency required for high-volume, regulated ophthalmic device production.
